This week Walgreen’s is running a huge B1G1 deal on Walgreen’s brand pharmaceuticals. If you have the $50 Pharmacy Savings booklet, this could make these deals much sweeter. If you don’t have one go and ask the pharmacy for info on their prescription plan and they should give you one. The coupons that are applicable to the B1G1 sale are:

This Friday, I want to share an experience/item that makes me feel particularly feminine. I love cooking with my daughter in the kitchen with our aprons on. There is something about putting on an apron that makes me think of all the other women that have donned one in the task of nourishing their families. Yes, an apron’s purpose is to keep your clothes from getting dirty and having handy pockets for items but I think that secretly, the real reason for an apron is to add beauty to an ordinary, everyday task.

Since we’ve been out of town for a week and I make a point of grocery shopping on Thursdays to get 10.00 off at a local grocery chain, the cupboards are bare.  Using what’s left in the pantry, I am going to throw together some grilled cheese and tomato soup tonight.

Today is actually the perfect day for such a meal as it is cloudy and chilly and feels like Autumn is on its way!  Ara and I ate warm maple oatmeal on the back porch this morning bundled up in jackets and a blanket.

My Sweet Grandad Update September 3, 2008

My Grandad, Charles Hembree Sr., went home to dance with the Lord on Tuesday September 2.  I know that his reunion with his Heavenly Father is a joyful one; however, we miss him dearly here!  His wish when he knew it wouldn’t be much longer was to go home so we brought him home Tuesday at 2:00 pm and as soon as Grandma told him he was home, he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.  I will be back to posting the regularly scheduled blogs on Monday, but for right now please keep our family in your prayers as we make arrangements and cling to each other during this time.  Thank you for your prayers.
